Romania-India Business Forum
Bucharest, February 2nd, 2012: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), together with the Federation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (FICCI), organized the Romania - India Business Forum, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania Palace. The event was organized within the official visit program undertaken in Romania by H.E. Mr. Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of State for Trade and Industry of India, on the occasion of the Romania - India Joint Governmental Commission session.
The head of the Indian businessmen delegation was Mr. D.M. Kapadia, Senior Partner at the Kapadia Exports, the delegation consisted of 11 companies from various areas of activity, interested in Romanian exports to India, cooperation, joint ventures and import from India.
In the plenary session Mr. Mihai Daraban, Vice-president of CCIR, stressed that "in the current economic situation, quite difficult, it is imperative that we undertake a more aggressive approach to foreign markets, promoting whenever is appropriate the trade and cooperation formulas with countries with which Romania has traditional relations, like India".
The Representative of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business Environment, Mr. Andrei Petre, made a presentation, in short, of the current trade exchanges between the two countries and of the advantages for the investors in Romania.
Events like this are useful to businessmans because "each country can borrow from the other the experience, for example, from India we can learn from the agriculture field and we can collaborate in different areas of industry", said Mr. Jose Iacobescu, President of the Union of Bilateral Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Romania.
At the end of the Forum took place the scheduled bilateral meetings held between representatives of companies from both countries.
Bucharest, December 8th, 2011: A total of 33 Bilateral Chambers of Commerce received from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania the official certification at an event held in Chandeliers Hall at the Chamber of Commerce Palace.
